Sport is an important part of school life, and all students participate in a weekly lesson with a specialist PE teacher to develop skills in movement, games and sportsmanship.
Weekly Sport is organised in term blocks, including a focus on swimming, athletics and various sports and games. Visiting development officers provide specialist instruction on occasion. In Term 3, Years 3-6 participate in an elective sports program that includes some off-campus options, including gymnastics and surfing.
SPORTS CARNIVALS
The K-2 Athletics Carnival is held at school and has a focus on fun and participation.
The Years 3-6 Athletics Carnival is held in Term 2 at the Coffs Harbour International Stadium. This carnival encourages sportsmanship and participation and also serves as a selection event for the school representative team.
The school holds two swimming carnivals each year for students in Years 3-6, one being a selection carnival for competitive swimmers and the other focusing on fun, participation and sportsmanship.
Parents are always welcome to attend all carnivals, and helpers are always appreciated. Students are allocated a house colour on enrolment and are encouraged to wear a coloured, plain shirt to match their house colour and promote house spirit.
