Principal's Message
Friday 22 November 2024- Term 4 Week 6
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we head into the final weeks of the year, I want to take a moment to reflect on our recent achievements and provide some important reminders. Our school community continues to impress with its spirit, dedication, and talent. Let’s finish the year strong together!
Thank You for a Wonderful School Fete!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making our school fete such a resounding success! From the dedicated volunteers to the families and friends who attended, your support has been incredible. Together, we raised over $14,000 to support the fantastic work of our Parent Forum. These funds will go directly toward making the school a better place for children.
School Uniform Reminder
As we approach the end of the year, let’s ensure students continue to wear their uniforms with pride. Please check that your child’s uniform is in line with the school’s policy, including appropriate footwear, hats, and jewellery. A consistent uniform fosters a sense of belonging and reflects positively on our school. For any concerns or questions about the uniform, feel free to contact the office or consult our website.
Celebrating Artistic Talent: 'Little Archies' Portrait Competition
Congratulations to the talented young artists who participated in this year’s ‘Little Archies’ Portrait Competition! We were blown away by the creativity and skill displayed in the entries. Prizes were awarded at this week’s assembly and their outstanding work will be displayed around the school. Thank you to our teachers for fostering such a wonderful opportunity for self-expression.
Finishing the Year Strong
With just a few weeks left, I encourage all students to remain focused, work hard, and maintain respectful behaviour both inside and outside the classroom. These final days are an opportunity to build on the progress we’ve made this year and end on a high note. Parents, thank you for your support in encouraging good habits and helping your children set positive goals as we approach the holidays.
Thank you all for your continued partnership in creating such a vibrant and supportive school community.
Grace and peace,
Peter Watts

Year 1 on Excursion
Year 1 have enjoyed a wonderful day on Thursday extending their knowledge of content covered in their Learning Module throughout the term. In the morning they explored the Aqua Play area at the Big Banana to put into practice water and sun safety skills (while having lots of fun).
In the afternoon they visited the North Coast Regional Botanic Gardens, where Miss Katrina shared her knowledge of native plants and their uses; the significance of Coffs Creek; an introduction to the Moon Man dreaming story (which has many Native plants in it); and the Pink bloodwood tree which is over 500 years old! All the students listened respectfully and had lots of questions during the yarn and creek walk session.
For their Visual Arts module, Year 1 sketched 'patterns from nature', in preparation for tomorrow's printmaking lesson - we can't wait to see their finished artworks! A fantastic learning experience.
